Vera Ethel Craig

Vera 'Ethel' Craig was born July 14, 1933 near Orafino, Nebraska to Cliff and Julia (McCarl) McMichael. She passed away January 1, 1983 at the age of forty-nine years, five months and eighteen days at Torrington, Wyoming. They had recently moved from their home at Hershey.

Ethel attended the Independence school near Orafino and grew to womanhood on the McMichael homestead. Being the youngest of the family, and after her older brothers and sisters were married, she was her dad's chief cook and bottle washer for several years.

Ethel was united in marriage to Zane Craig on May 9, 1953 at Stockville, Nebraska. To this union four children were born, three boys and one girl, Randy, twins Dannie and Donnie and Sherri.

Ethel shared her three sons with Uncle Sam for a few years. Randy and Donnie in the army and Donnie in the marines.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her plants and music. Preceding her in death were her parents, Clifford and Julie McMichael, one sister, Elsie and a brother, Alvin.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Zane of Torrington, Wyoming, son Randy and wife Hettie of Grand Island; grandchildren Heidi and Todd; Dannie and wife Heidi of Torrington and daughter Sherri, husband Brad Dalton, grandchildren Amy and Jason of North Platte; father-in-law Milton Craig of Brady; nine brothers and sisters, Elma Calhoon, Lynnwood, California; Velma Phillips, Lakehead, California; Clifford Jr. McMichael and Julia Schneider of Hermiston, Oregon; Ruth Fisher of Moorefield, Nebraska; Richard McMichael, Mildred Adkisson and Mary Beck of Farnam.
