Clyde Edward Whitney

Clyde Edward Whitney was born Sept. 11, 1919, at Farnam, the son of the late Vincent and Maude Whitney. He passed away April 17, 1981.

He grew up and attended school at Farnam, graduating in 1936. Later he learned the sheet metal trade and was employed at an aircraft factory in California.

He served in the Army during WW II and saw action in the African and Sicilian theaters. He was injured numerous times and was a disabled veteran.

Funeral services were on Wednesday, April 22, at the V. A. Domiciliary at White City, Ore., with Chaplain Warren Christiensen officiating.

Survivors are his two brothers, Everett of Scottsbluff, and Leonard of Bremerton, Wash. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant sister.

Burial was at White City, Ore.
