Lorraine Warner

Lorraine Warner, 77, of Gothenburg, passed away on May 18, 2008 at Gothenburg.

Lorraine Margaret was born on October 15, 1930 at Freedom, NE to Knowles and Lillian Johnson. She grew up on the family farm northwest of Bartley and attended school at Farnam. She lived at Farnam and Lexington. She graduated from Lexington High School.

Lorraine married Ben Warner on August 27, 1950 at Lexington, NE, to this union 5 children were born.

Lorraine worked at Evans Bakery, Slacks Nursing Home and Hilltop Estates. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church. Lorraine enjoyed crocheting, flowers and spending time with her family.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Ben of Gothenburg; sons Lonnie (Sandy) Warner; Brad (Michele) Warner all of Gothenburg; daughters: Patricia (Duane) Stevens of Sumner, Linda (Eldon) Rodine of Gothenburg, Pamela (Michael) Houchin of Gothenburg; brother Marion Johnson of Curtis; sister Elaine (Bill) Holliday of Lexington; 10 grandchildren Leigh Ann (Charles) Taylor, Derek Rodine, Kiel (Lacey) Stevens, Kasia Stevens, Adam & Caleb Warner, James (Mia) Houchin, Travis Houchin, Joseph & Raymond Warner, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jerold, a sister-in-law Retha Johnson, and a grandson Joshua Dale Warner.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, 1:30 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church, 1512 Ave G, Gothenburg, NE with Lonna Grabenstein, PMA officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church, 1512 Ave G, Gothenburg, NE with the family present from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m.

Burial will be in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Lutheran Church window fund, or Diabetes Research.
