Paul E. Trosper
Gothenburg -- Paul E. Trosper, 65, died February 4, 1994, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital. Mr. Trosper was employed at Block and Deaver; later Deaver and Rowan Fertilizer companies for nearly 20 years, retiring in May of 1993.
He was born March 12, 1928, at Cambridge to Lester and Fern Bogle Trosper and moved with his family to the Gothenburg area in 1936. A 1946 graduate of Gothenburg High School, he service in the U.S. Army 1953 - 1955.
He married Phyllis Gaibler [of Farnam] May 9, 1948 at Brady.
He was a member of American Legion Post 64 and VFW Post 5132 and attended the United Methodist Church.
On July 27, 1979; he married Kathren McDowell at Kearney.
Survivors include his wife of Gothenburg; a son, Dale of Cozad; a daughter, Doris Trosper (Russ Dytrych) of North Platte; four stepdaughters, Kay McDowell (Mike Christensen( of Kearney; Kelli (Charlie) Burky and Tammy (Bruce) Garcia both of Lexington; and Terry (Bennett) Wuestewald of Cozad; a sister Betty Fecht of Gothenburg; and 13 grandchildren.
A brother, Lloyd, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church with the Reverend Steven Todd officiating. Burial will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 1 - 9 p.m. Sunday at McVay Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
