Chester W. Sundstrom
Chester William Sundstrom, 84, of
North Platte died April 29, 1998, at
his home.
He was born June 1, 1913, to Edward
and Christine Pearson Sundstrom south
of Brady, where he grew up and attended
school.
On Aug. 16, 1940, he married Thelma
Miller of Ingham in Phillipsburg, Kan.
They lived in California for a short time,
and then moved back to Nebraska. They
farmed and ranched between Brady and
Moorefield for many years. They retired
in 1984 and moved to North Platte.
Mr. Sundstrom was a member of First
Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed
watching sporting events, with baseball
and boxing as his favorites. He also
enjoyed playing dominos.
Surviving him is his wife; a daughter,
Kay of Phoenix; two sons, Larry (Donna)
of Maxwell and Raymond (Darice) of North
Platte; six grandchildren, James Hilyard
and Tracy Sundstrom of California, Scott
and Teri Jo Sundstrom of North Platte and
Rustin and Neil Sundstrom of Maxwell; and
a great-granddaughter, Hayley Sundstrom
of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents
and two brothers, Noble and Norris Sundstrom.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday
at Adams and Swanson Chapel with the Rev.
Nathan Wadewitz officiating. Burial will be
in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
