Harold A. Sukraw
Harold A. Sukraw, 66, of rural Maxwell, died Friday at his home. He was born July 1, 1916, at Maxwell.
Mr. Sukraw was a lifelong resident of Maxwell. He married Gladys Oberg June 29, 1941 at Farnam. He was a longtime member of the Nazarene Church in North Platte and served as a board member at the church and taught Sunday school for 40 years. He was a board member of the agriculture department of the Mid-America Nazarene College. He was also a member of the Nebraska Hereford Association, the American Hereford Association and the Sandhills Cattleman Association. He was a board member and treasurer of the Maxwell school board for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys of Maxwell; three sons, John of Maxwell, the Rev. Jim Sukraw of Neosho, Mo. and Joe of Maxwell; two daughters, Sharold (Mrs. Dan) Woods of Benedict, N.D., and Sharlene Sukraw of Maxwell; two brothers, Quentin of Hershey and Paul of Gothenburg, two sisters, Eileen (Mrs. Darold) Miller of Maxwell and Margaret Dewart of Arizona; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Herbert Ketterling officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery at Maxwell.
A memorial has been established to the church building fund.
Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
