Obituary Collection
Marvin Stovall

Marvin R. Stovall, 65, of 2701 Central Ave. died Friday afternoon, May 1, 1981, at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

He was born in Corning, Mo., Jan. 22, 1916, and was a Kearney resident for 22 years. He was a retired Director of Business Affairs at Kearney State College, retiring in 1973.

Mr. Stovall was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, the Elks Lodge and Masonic Lodge. He was also an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Beryl of Kearney; two sons, Lyndon of Greenville, S. C. and Bradley of Kearney; three daughters, Nancy L. Burns and Melanie M. Stevens, both of Kansas City, Mo. and Jannie Featherston of Minden; eight grandchildren; five brothers, Wilbur of Riverton, Iowa, Charles of Cottage Grove, Ore., Gerald of Grand Island, Lyle of Los Angeles and George of Kearney; two sisters, Evelyn Stubbenbeck of Unidilla and Lela Habell of Louisville.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Services are set for 10 a.m. Monday morning at the Evangelical Free Church with the Rev. John McNeill officiating and burial in Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.

A North Platte veterans organization will be in charge of graveside military rites.

The family plans memorials to the Association for Retarded Citizens of Nebraska or the Evangelical Free Church.

Horner-Lieske Mortuary will be in charge of arrangements.
