Kendall A. Speck

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Kendall A. Speck, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Farnam, died March 4, 2004, at Jacksonville.

He was born Jan. 8, 1935, in Ingham to Jim and Lucille Mowrey Speck. He formerly attended school at Farnam, and graduated from Gothenburg High School in the 1950s.

On April 21, 1956, he married Patricia Tridle, formerly of North Platte, in Norman, Okla. He retired as senior chief electrician after serving 20 years with the U.S. Navy. He also worked 12 years with Maloney Die Company. He enjoyed doing all kinds of woodwork and building model ships.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia of Jacksonville; two sons, Royce (Anita) Speck of Jacksonville and Terry (Deborah) Speck of Palm Bay, Fla.; a sister, Carolyn Waller of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a brother, Rodney Speck of Gothenburg; and three grandchildren, Alesia, Jordan and Austin

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kendall Speck Fund at 1707 Mt. Vernon Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32210, for cancer research.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church at 1415 S. McDuff Ave., Jacksonville, FL.
