PORT ANGELES, Wash. — Lawrence E. Schneider, 86, of Port Angeles, Wash., brother of L.V. Schneider of North Platte, died Jan. 19, 2003, in Port Angeles.

He was born Dec. 6, 1916, at Farnam to Shellie E. and Hannah M. Nelsen Schneider. He graduated from North Platte High School in 1936.

In 1945, he married Maxine. He was employed in Logging for several years, then dairy farming. He then drove a logging truck retiring around 1985.

Survivors include two daughters, Daisy (Dick) Scaman and Jeanie and Mary Ann and (Dick J) Gary; two brothers, L.V. (Jean) and Loyd (Gerry); a sister, Lyona (Roy) Willis; and a bunch of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ernest, Elmer and Albert.

Services are in Port Angeles, Wash., Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003.
