Marilyn Marie Randecker
FARNAM - Marilyn Marie Randecker, 73, of Farnam, died Feb. 13, 2008, in Lewisville, Texas.
She was born Feb. 14, 1934, in Elm Creek, the youngest of six children to Ernest and Wilma Engel Lantz. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1952 and then graduated from nursing college as a registered nurse in 1954.
She was united in marriage to Karl "Jack" Randecker July 14, 1957, in Lexington. They lived in Ventura, Calif., where their children were born. Jack and Marilyn moved to Denver in 1963, and in 1968, moved to Farnam. Marilyn was active in the banking business working at the Farnam Bank with Jack until a tragic car accident in 1985 changed her life forever.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Farnam.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jack; a son, Karl (Rebecca) Randecker of Cozad; a daughter, Leslie (Bill) Vezner of Lewisville, Texas; five grandchildren, Karl "Derek" (Malissa) Randecker of Omaha, Amanda Randecker of Lincoln and fiancé, Andy Oelkers, Holden Randecker of Cozad, Bryce Vezner and Andrea Vezner of Lewisville, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Jada Randecker of Omaha; sister, Barbara (Orvale) Widick of Farnam; sister-in-law, Virginia Lantz of Kearney; and brother-in-law, Wally Petersen of Tuscon, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, a brother and three sisters.
Memorials are suggested to the Methodist Church in Farnam.
The body was cremated. A private memorial service will be at a later date.
