Lawrence Wallace Raasch
June 9, 1906—August 7, 1992
Lawrence Wallace Raasch, 86, of Nampa, Idaho, died Friday, August 7th, 1992, at a Caldwell nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:30am Monday, August 10th, 1992, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, Idaho. Rev. Ronald Adcock of Nampa will officiate. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Lawrence was born June 9th, 1906, at Farnam, Nebraska. His parents were Henry and Agusta Raasch. He migrated with his parents to Hooper, Nebraska, and later to Ashland, Nebraska, where they farmed. After finishing school at Ashland, he married Clara Bachman November 16th, 1932. They moved to Kimball, Nebraska, then to Pine Bluffs and Egbert, Wyoming. In 1952, they again moved westward to Malheur County, Oregon, west of Homedale. In 1957, they moved east of Caldwell to farm and lived there until they retired in 1976. Since that time, they have lived in Nampa.
He is survived by his wife, Clara of Nampa; two sons, Carl of Middleton and Melvin of Kuna; a daughter, Lucille Wills of Caldwell; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Keith, in 1974, and a granddaughter, Carolyn, in 1968.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Idaho Elk’s Rehabilitation Hospital, PO Box 1100, Boise, Idaho 83701-9958.
