Christian F. Meyer was born April 5, 1857, in New York City and May 16, 1931 he passed on. Mr. Meyer moved to Valparaiso, Indiana with his parents when a child and there was married to Ada E. Brown, January 30, 1877, and to this union was born the following children: Mrs. Johanna A. Yetter of Yakima, Washington, Mrs. Eva A. Fairchild of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Lydia E. Moore of Galeta, California, Mrs. Grace M. Tucker of Chehalis, Washington, Charles H. Meyer of Kennewick, Washington, William T. Meyer of Vallejo, California, Mrs. Laura M. Calkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Clyde R. Meyer of Mineral, Washington, and eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all of whom survive him.

The mother of the children passed on August 10, 1904.

Mr. Meyer moved to Nebraska in 1883 and since then has made his home in different parts of south-western Nebraska. The last 35 years he has lived in the vicinity of Farnam.

July 12, 1912, he was united in Marriage to Mrs. Cora Nichols at Eustis, Nebraska, who preceded him to the great beyond December 9, 1921.

There are four step-children who mourn his going. Robert T. Nichols, of Denver, Colorado, Mabell E. Holmes of Cambridge, Grace M. Fellows of Cozad, Nebraska and Bennie W. Nichols of New York City and seven grand children who will greatly miss grand-daddy.
