Harry Mercer, 81, died Sunday at a Curtis nursing home. He was born Dec. 20, 1900, at Farnam.

Mr. Mercer was a lifetime resident of the Curtis area.

Survivors include his wife, Ardath of Curtis; three sons, Gerald of Memphis, Tenn., Kelly of Arvada, Colo., and Bob of Curtis; one daughter, Mrs. Bernelle Schultz of Curtis; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte with the Rev. Larry Perkins officiating.

Wetzel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
