Alvin Lee Mandery
Alvin Lee Mandery, age 80, of Lincoln, died on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln. He was born on May 11, 1931 in Tecumseh to Lee John and Edna May (Penry) Mandery. He served in United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from December 7, 1951 until December 1, 1953. Alvin worked for Kingery Construction as a bricklayer from 1950 to 1996.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Janet of Lincoln; daughters, Regina and Randall Thompson of Lincoln; LeAnne Slater of Lincoln; Maurine and Dave Amend of Grand Prairie, Texas; step-daughter, Kim and Brad Memming of Lincoln; grandchildren and step-grandsons; sisters, Opal and Joanne; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Lelia.
Cremation, no visitation. A private family service will be held at Wyuka Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Wyuka Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences at www.wyuka.com
