Wehrs C. Lindvall
Wehrs C. Lindvall, 75, 1914 West Second, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 1983, at his home. He was born Jan. 22, 1908, in Holdrege to Bernard and Doris Lindvall.
Mr. Lindvall grew up on a farm west of Farnam before moving to North Platte in 1941. He began working for the Union Pacific Railroad that same year. He was married Dec. 21, 1940, in Farnam to Louise Parker and retired as conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1973. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, the Platte Valley Masonic Lodge No. 32 AF&AM and all Masonic bodies in North Platte. He was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge 985, the UTU and the NARVRE.
In Addition to his wife, Louise of North Platte, survivors include one son, Gordon of North Platte; three daughters, Harriett (Mrs. Arley) Christensen and Sarah (Mrs. Leonard) Von Feldt, both of North Platte, and Christine (Mrs. Stan) Trout of Stapleton; one brother, Bernard of Gothenburg; one sister, Lucile (Mrs. Lewis) Coleman of Orlando, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Cortney Christensen and Sammy Trout.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior with the Rev. James E. Krotz and the Rev. Daniel Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established to the Episcopal Church or to the North Platte Hospice Program.
The casket will not be opened at the church.
Tabler Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
