Obituary Collection
Sadie Humphreus-Liggett (Mrs. Clarence)

Mrs. Clarence Liggett, better known to Stockville people as Miss Sadie Heumphreus, died at the Cambridge hospital Sunday night, following an operation for the removal of a tumor.

The deceased was married about a year ago. A child, which lived only a short time, was born a few weeks ago.

Sadie was about twenty-two years of age, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Heumphreus, formerly of this county but now of Cambridge. The deceased was living in Cambridge when she was taken ill. She had made her home at Stockville at different times during the past few years, and was known and liked by all.

She was a sister of Porter Humphreus, who lives just southwest of Stockville.

She leaves her husband, parents and nine brothers and sisters, all but one of whom were present at the funeral to mourn her untimely death. A host of friends also mourn and extend their sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in Cambridge at three o'clock yesterday afternoon. -Stockville Faber.
