Anne Lise Lehman
Anne Lise Lehman, 81, of Maxwell, and native of Oslo, Norway, passed away April 5, 2013.
She was born April 2, 1932, in Oslo, Norway, to Harold and Lilly (Eriksen) Nordgaard.
In 1953, she met Staff Sergeant, Marvin H. Lehman while he was stationed in Oslo, Norway, with the U.S. Air Force. They were united in marriage on Dec. 18, 1954, in a Lutheran Chapel. To this union three children were born. In 1956, she departed Oslo, Norway, and immigrated to the United States with her husband and first-born child. Upon return, they purchased a ranch west of Maxwell where they made their lifelong home.
Anne Lise spent her days caring for Marvin, their children and the many friends who helped on the ranch. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, sewing, oil painting, cooking, gardening, swimming, playing cards, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
On March 28, 1963, she became a citizen of the United States of America. Anne Lise was a member of the American Legion Post 181, Sons of Norway Dist. No. 1 and a regular guppy in the Aquacise class at the North Platte Recreation Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband of 58 years.
Survivors include a son, Harold J. Lehman, of New Orleans, La.; her twin daughters, Susanne C. Lehman and Diane P. Strobel, both of North Platte; her grandchildren, Zachariah H. Lehman, of Lincoln, Anna L. Lehman, of North Platte, Lars L. Lehman, of Harmony, N.C., Jessica M. Power, of North Platte, Julie M. Power, of Oak Harbor, Wash., Cody L. Reilly, of Bemidji, Minn., Sara-Elizabeth D. Murray, of Lincoln; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 12, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., today, Wednesday, April 10, and Thursday, April 11 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
