Mrs. Wm. Harris Dead
Communication received here Tuesday telling of the death of Mrs.
William Harris, formerly of Farnam, but who has been residing in
Eustis for the past year or more, died in Omaha Monday.
Mrs. Harris was a member of the Methodist church of Farnam and
had a large number of relatives and friends here who deeply
mourn her death.
The funeral services were held in Eustis Wednesday and conducted
by Rev. T. E. Gillet, pastor of the Farnam Methodist church.
Obituary
Christina Harris was born August 12, 1873 and died November 11,
1918; age 45 years, two months and 29 days. She leaves a
husband, one daughter and five sons, besides many other
relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
Four of her boys joined the army to fight for the freedom of the
world, and the greatest desire of the mother's heart was that
she might live to see her boys return home, but the same day
that the war ended, after being told that the conflict was over
she fell asleep in Jesus.
It was thought unnecessary to give account of her life, as the
way she lived told more than could be written. It is enough to
say she was a devoted Christian.
The funeral services were held at Eustis, Nebraska, November 13,
1918, conducted by Rev. Drunan, pastor of the Evangelical
church, and sermon by T. E. Gillet, pastor of the Methodist
church of Farnam.
There were about sixteen people from Farnam attended the
funeral, who join with the bereaved family in their great
sorrow.
