Pearl M. Hand, 99, died Friday at a Curtis nursing home. She was born Oct. 9, 1889, in Fairfield. She was a longtime resident of the Moorefield community.

Survivors include eight grandchildren. Those from the area include RoJean Gutherless of North Platte, Darlene Dizmang of Moorefield, Margaret Gates of Palisade and Merle Johnson of Lexington. She is also survived by a sister, Marie Synder of Denver; a brother, L. L. Culver of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 23 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday 11 a.m. at Berean Fundamental Church in Curtis with Pastor Stan Gurney and the Rev. Scott Callahan officiating. Burial will be in the Moorefield Cemetery.

Wetzel Funeral Home in Curtis is in charge of arrangements.
