May 27, 1920 — July 24, 2004

Our beloved Mildred passed into the next life with friends and family by her bedside.

She was the first child born to Elva and Louis Maurer in Farnam, Neb.

Mildred and her husband Kenneth Grimes made their way west in the early ‘50s. She started working at the Oregon State University printing department in 1952 and retired in 1979. She was the office manager.

She survived Kenneth by many years.

She is survived by her two children, Faith Knox and Charles MacDonald; four grandchildren, Kristine Hennessy, Kathryn Brown, Charles MacDonald Jr., and Meri "Sam" Clark; and five great-grandchildren, Clancy, Conner, Seamus, Carina and Carson.

Her last days were spent living in Seal Rock with her companion, Blin Dixon, of the Dixon family that helped found Corvallis. They loved to build miniature dollhouses, garden and travel to Nebraska for the Farnam picnics.

Mildred will be greatly missed and thought of often.
