Glenn L. Greenlee
A former police magistrate and longtime resident of Sidney, Glenn L. Greenlee, 87, died at 4 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Memorial Hospital. He was taken there on Dec. 2 and had been in failing health for sometime.
Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the Gehrig and Son Funeral Home. A. E. Tennant of the Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial Rest Home has been designated for memorials.
Mr. Greenlee was born May 12, 1882 at Belle Plain, Iowa, to William T. and Effie Houston Greenlee. He was married June 11, 1904 at Stockville, Neb. to Ethel Earhart. They moved to Sidney from Kimball in 1928 and Mr. Greenlee operated a service station in east Sidney for a number of years. He served as custodian of the city auditorium for better than 20 years and during that time was police judge for the city.
Mrs. Greenlee died on Christmas Day in 1967.
Surviving are two sons, Ray Greenlee of Plainview, Neb. and Mervil L. Greenlee of Gering; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
