Word has been received of the death of Alta (Barnes) Goddard of Rosemead, Calif. Alta grew up at Farnam, was united in marriage to Edward Goddard Aug. 1, 1916 at the home of her parents southwest of Farnam. A few years later they moved to California. Three children were born to this union, Major John Goddard, U.S. Air Force (deceased), Edward Goddard and Della Crenshaw. Ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, Ed Barnes, survive. Services were held Nov. 6, 1982 at The Little Church Around The Corner, interment was in Inglewood Park Cemetery. Both Barnes and Goddard families were residents of Farnam years ago. Alta was 89 years old.
