Elsie L. Gerrard
Elsie LaVonne Gerrard, 81, of North Platte died Sept. 15, 2004, at Linden Court.
She was born March 23, 1923, to Julius E. and Eunice E. Castor Marlin at Farnam. She was raised and attended school in the Brady area.
On Aug. 16, 1947, she married Robert Gerrard Sr. He preceded her in death Jan. 1, 2002. The couple lived in North Platte. Elsie was a very loving and dedicated woman to her family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Sharon) Gerrard Jr. of North Platte; a brother, Bernard "Bus" (Ila) Marlin of Green River, Wyo.; three sisters-in-law, Alta Marlin of Rubidoux, Calif., Mildred Marlin of Hershey and Gladys Gerrard of North Platte; three granddaughters, Laurie (Ed) Maline of North Platte, Vickie Doremus of Alaska and Rebekah Gerrard of Kearney; three great-grandchildren, Kyra, Devon and Emma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael; two sisters, Edna Griffis and Helen Peterson; and three brothers, John, Clarence and Elmer.
A memorial has been established to the North Platte Alzheimer's Support Group; c/o Helen Bell 1905 West "F" North Platte, NE 69101.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Adams & Swanson Chapel with the Rev. Eric Meissner officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery south of Maxwell.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until service time Monday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
