Ruth E. Fry, age 92, of Farnam, NE passed away February 25, 2008 at the Gothenburg Hospital, Gothenburg, NE.

A graveside memorial service was held at the Highland Cemetery at Bertrand, NE, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Cathi Braasch officiating.

Ruth was born March 4, 1915 at Smithfield, NE to Wilbur and Canna Waln. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Larry; son Darrell (Barbara) Wendland of Council Bluffs, IA; daughter Iona (Rodean) Cornelsen of Johnstown, CO.; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by daughters Carol (Donald) Freemanand Virginia Lee Wendl and and son Albert Eugene Wendland.
