Margery (Medley) Brock Fruhling
Services for former area resident Margery Fay Fruhling of Kearney were Friday at the First Lutheran Church in Kearney. The Rev. Ronald Ebb officiated.
Mrs. Fruhling died Wednesday, March 21, in the hospital at Kearney. She was 68.
Mrs. Fruhling was born Aug. 12, 1915, to James and Lela Medley. She grew up in the Boelus and Shelton areas.
She lived in Farnam for many years and, after the death of her husband Ivan Brock in 1969, she lived in Eustis before moving to Kearney 15 years ago.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Fort Kearney Eagles Aerie 2722.
Besides her husband, Ed Fruhling of Kearney, she is survived by three sons, Jim Brock of Lincoln, Ivan Brock of Minneapolis and Larry Fruhling of Kearney; two daughters, Joanne Sturgeon of Lincoln and Aleatha Graves of Kearney; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Royal Medley of Phoenix, Ariz., Karel Medley of Kearney and Jerry Medley of Gulfport, Miss., and a sister, Marvel Mesler of Idaho. Godberson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
