H. Earl Fritz
Fritz, H. Earl, 78, of North Platte, died Nov. 26, 2003, at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln.
He was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Eustis, to William and Verna Stigler Fritz. He graduated from the Eustis High School in 1942 and later served in the U. S. Army from July 1945 to November 1946.
On May 25, 1947, he married Jean Gugelman in Kansas.
Mr. Fritz ran the Eustis Sale Barn for a number of years then farmed and raised cattle in the Farnam Area and later moved to North Platte in 1988. He enjoyed buying and selling farm machinery. His greatest joy was his family. He will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of North Platte; four daughters, Vicky Fritz of Patomic Falls, Va., Connie (Larry) Taylor of Moorefield, Denise (Stan) Reed of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Tonya (Tony) Hergenrader of North Platte; a son, Terry (Vicki) of Farnam; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters [Wilma Schmeeckle] [Eva Hyatt]; and a grandson, Jeremy Fritz.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church or North Platte Emergency Medical Technicians.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, 1616 West B Street, North Platte, with the Rev. K.F. Kaleuati officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with military honors graveside.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today and Sunday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte.
