Bobby Lee Fenton
Bobby Lee Fenton died Friday, June 25, 2010, at his rural McCook home. He was 78 years old.
Bobby was born on July 7, 1931, to Harry Clyde and Rena Alice (Record) Fenton. He graduated from Farnam High School. He entered the US Air Force on April 21, 1951, where he became certified in explosives. He was honorably discharged on April 20, 1955.
After his service in the Air Force, he moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he had a fishing boat for a while. He also worked as a supervisor for the Alaskan pipeline and for the Peter Kiewit Construction Company until he retired in 1985. He moved back to the Maywood community. On May 1, 1986, he was united in marriage to Thelma (Davis) Most. She preceded him in death, at which time he relocated to rural McCook.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Rena Fenton; wife, Thelma Fenton; and one sister, Doris Barda.
Survivors include his brother, Gene Fenton of Elwood; three sisters, Ruth Parker of Mesa, AZ, Betty Cover of North Platte and Carrie Earhart of Moorefield; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
An inurnment will be held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in mid July with his nephew, Landy Earhart officiating.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
