Marjorie Ruth Farnstrom
Marjorie Ruth Farnstrom, 80, of Gothenburg, died April 29, 1910, in Gothenburg.
Marjorie was born May 6, 1929, to Dean and Mable Winner Rice at Farnam, where she grew up. She graduated from Farnam High School as valedictorian of her class. On June 5, 1949, Marjorie married Charles “Chuck” A. Farnstrom at Gothenburg, where they made their home. In 1956 they moved to Denver, Colo., and returned to Gothenburg in 1969. Marjorie was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Robert Farnstrom, of Gothenburg, James (Christine) Farnstrom, of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Angela Christine and Dale James Farnstrom; a sister, Carol Hertel, of Beaverton, Ore.; a brother, Dale (Sue) Rice, of Oregon; several nieces, nephews and other family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; and her parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 7, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery south of Maxwell with Pastor Larry Viter of Faith Chapel officiating. The memorial book may be signed at the graveside or online at odeanchapel.com. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore in charge of arrangements.
