Esther W. Ebert
Graveside services for Esther W. Ebert of McMinnville will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Evergreen Memorial Park in McMinnville. The Rev. Bernard Turner will officiate.
Mrs. Ebert died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville. She was 90.
Born April 12, 1916, in Farnam, Neb., she was the daughter of Rudolph and Myrom (Barrett) Graff. She attended a one-room schoolhouse.
She married Melvin Ebert on Feb. 3, 1934, in Kearney, Neb. They lived in Farnam until 1942, when they moved to Portland. They relocated to McMinnville in 1950.
Mrs. Ebert worked for Oregon Mutual Insurance until her retirement. She was a member of Insurance Women of Yamhill County.
She was active in Gallery Theater. She loved quilting, playing cards, reading, cooking, baking and traveling to the Oregon coast. Her family said she was very loving and very much loved in return.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie Langlitz of McMinnville, Gerry Jensen and Sherry Green of Willamina and Betty Collins of Medford; two sons, Dan Ebert of Salem and Derry Ebert of Portland; three sisters, Beryl Nottingham of Portland, Joy Graff of Carson City, Nev., and Donna Bittner of Des Moines, Wash.; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969; by brothers Gordon, Russell and Rex Graff; by a sister, Lucille Crockett; and by a great-granddaughter, Nicole.
