Clark H. Duncan Sr., 84, of Rockford died at 8:20 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, in Swedish American Hospital. Born Mary 10, 1916, in Farnam , Neb., the son of Clark and Nell Swan Duncan. Married the former Helen Peterson on Oct. 10, 1941, in Holdrege, Neb. He lived 37 years in Glen Ellyn, moving to Rockford in 1993.

He was employed by Natural Gas Pipe Line for 44 years, retiring June 1, 1981. Clark was an avid fan of the University of Nebraska football team.

He was a generous father and grandfather. Survivors include four sons, Clark (Mary Kay) Duncan Jr. of Arlington Heights, Todd Duncan of Chicago, John (Donna) Duncan of Rockford and Bruce (Mary Cloonan) Duncan of Chicago grandchildren John, Matthew, Emily and Betsy and special friend, Mildred Burns of Rockford Predeceased by wife, Helen and brother, Bruce.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the residents and staff of Peterson Meadows and Intouch Home Care for all their support and help. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in Fitzgerald & Associates Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, with Pastor Kenneth Storck of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday in Mulford Chapel.
