Steven W. Babcock, 50, of Mt. Blanchard, Oh., died July 26, 1996 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center. Steven was born July 3, 1946 in Findlay, Oh., to Joseph and Goldie (Swineheart) Babcock. He married Sandra K. Koch of Farnam Apr. 3, 1971.

Surviving him are his wife, Sandra; a son, Steven Blauvelt of Columbus, Oh.; three daughters, Amy M., Trisha A. and Leslee K. Babcock, all at home; three brothers, Glenn of Rawson, Oh., Jack of Lima, Oh., and Austin of Cozad; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael E.; two brothers, James and Robert; and a sister, Marcelle Thompson.

Steve was a retired truck driver. Steve was a member of the Forest United Methodist church and Moose Lodge #698.

Funeral services for Steve were held at Coldren-Crates Funeral home with the Rev. James Lillibridge officiating. Burial was in the Thompson Cemetery, Orange Township.
