OBITUARY GOTTLIEB ALBRECHT

Gottlieb Albrecht was born in Peace Valley, Russia, Mar 4, 1864 and died at Kearney, Nebr. July 6, 1928, age 64 years, 4 months and 2 days.

He came to America with his parents as a boy in 1873 and shortly thereafter settled at Columbus, Nebr.

In 1884 he came to Frontier Co., Nebr. and has made this his home until March 1928 when he moved to Colorado in hopes of improving his health. Finding no relief there he returned to Nebr., making his home at Kearney, and for a short time it appeared that he might enjoy better health, but providence ruled otherwise.

In Sept. 1893 he was married to Louise Bauer to which union were born 13 children: Milon, Louis, Helen, Fred, Henry, Marie, Anna, Lillian, Hilda, Edith and Billy. One daughter preceded him in death in her infancy.

He leaves to mourn his departure a faithful wife, 6 sons, 6 daughters, 3 brothers, 7 grandchildren, many relatives and a host of friends.

In his dealings with his fellowmen he put honesty and character above all else and always taught that the “Golden Rule” would go farther in life than self interest in the promotion of any worthy cause.

He frequently admitted that he made mistakes common to human nature, but we believe that by his sincerity and example the community is better for his having lived in it.

Funeral services were held at the Grace Evangelical church at Orafino, Nebr., Saturday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m. Interment took place in the Denney Cemetery south of Orafino.
