Cynthia Fisher

Cynthia Fisher, 57, of Moorefield, Nebraska, died July 26, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

Cindy was born September 5, 1956 in Broken Bow, NE, daughter of Clyde and Gloria (Pederson) Bartak. She grew up in the Anselmo/Merna area and graduated from Anselmo/Merna High in 1974. Cindy lived in Hastings while attending Mary Lanning Nursing School, graduating in 1978. Following graduating she moved to Gothenburg for a year. Cindy married Robert Fisher at Broken Bow, NE on April 21, 1979 and they made their home at Moorefield.

Cindy started working at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in 1978 and spent her entire 36 year career as a RN at the Gothenburg Hospital. She was a member of the NE Brain Injury Association, AWANA and Faith Circle. She enjoyed reading, playing games and traveling. Cindy liked to spend time with family, especially her grandson Walker.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Fisher of Moorefield, NE; son, Michael Fisher of Omaha, NE; daughter, Sara (Tanner) Widick and grandson Walker of Belton, TX; siblings, Beth (Bruce) Ebmeier of Sun Lakes, AZ, Bev Trew of Broken Bow, NE, Joel (Becky) Batack of Anselmo, NE, Bruce (Julie) Bartak of Anselmo, NE; mother-in-law, Ruth Fisher of Moorefield, NE; brother & sister in law, Bev & Mel May of Merna, NE, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Gloria Bartak.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Nebraska; Tuesday, July 29, 2014 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from 4-6.

Services will be held at Gothenburg Evangelical Free Church, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Nicklas officiating.

Burial will follow in the Farnam Cemetery.
