BAXTER EASTRIDGE PASSES AWAY
Baxter Eastridge was born in Missouri in the fifties and passed away at Farnam, Nebraska, March 14, 1930 at the age of some seventy years of age.
He came to Frontier county about 22 years ago and worked for and made his home with Ed. Halls, several miles south of Farnam for a few years. Since Mr. Halls moved to Missouri he has made his home with Winnie Workman, who lives south of Farnam, on the Hall place. For the past few years he has been working in and around Farnam, staying much of the time at the Stebbins hotel.
Baxter leaves to mourn his death his half sister, Mrs. Chas E. Brew of Athel, Kansas; Ed. Halls, cousins in Missouri; and Winnie Workman, a second cousin of Farnam; and Winnie’s brother of Fullerton, Nebraska and many friends.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, March 16, at the Farnam cemetery, conducted by Rev. Lauren Messersmith, pastor of the Stockville Congregational church.
I know not where God’s islands lift
Their fronded palms in air
I only know I cannot drift
Beyond his love and care
Card of Thanks
We wish to thank our friends for their kindness and sympathy during our bereavement, and especially Dr. Reeves and Dr. Liggitt for their care and help during his illness.
