Stanley "Steamer" Edwin Anders
Stanley "Steamer" Edwin Anders, 75 trucked on down the highway out of this world at his home in Farnam, with family present on April 12, 2015 at the age of 75 years.
Stanley was born at Anselmo, NE on May 25, 1939 to Clyde and Leola (Fletcher) Anders. He grew up on ranches in the Bassett area and graduated from Rock County High School in 1957 in Bassett.
On December 21, 1958 he married Janet Steward at Johnstown, NE; they had a daughter Jody. They later divorced. On November 1978 he married Carol Kraft at Cozad. They later divorced. On May 29, 1988 he married Dorthy Earll at her home north of Cozad.
During his lifetime, he lived at the Dobesh Ranch at Eddyville; North Platte, Valentine, the Community Ranch at Rose, Broken Bow, Cozad and Farnam. He was a ranch hand on various ranches in north central NE. He worked for Paulsen's of Cozad; Smidt Grain Bin Construction and various trucking companies, the last of which was Nebraska Salt and Grain of Gothenburg.
His special interests, were rodeoing in his younger days, bowling, dancing, hand held video games and playing cards. He liked family get-to-gethers and being with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two infant brothers Dale and Allen and a little sister Sharol, a step grandson Scott Earll.
Survivors include his wife Dorthy Earll Anders of Farnam; a daughter Jody and Randy Cashion, James and Daniel from Little Elm, TX; sister Jeniel Anders and great nephew Brishan Anders from Broken Bow, NE; niece Larissia Anders from Kearney, NE; step-children: Melinda (Mike) Griffith from Cedar Rapids, IA; Elaine Schlothauer from Fort Morgan, CO, Clayton (Connie) Earll from Gothenburg, and Leslie Earll (Larry Wysocki) from San Francisco; step-grandchildren Rosey (Ron) Meyers, Cedar Rapids, IA, Billi Joe Wilcox, Misty (Mike) Byrns, Lexington, NE, Shane Schlothauer, Ft Morgan, CO, Susie (Phillip) Walker, Maxwell, NE, Jason Earll, Minnesota, Bob (Kyla) Earll, Nebraska City, NE, Buddi (Jim) Myers of Gothenburg, NE; step-great grandchildren Trisha, Brittany, Ema, Katy, Matthew, Gracie, Caleb, Izabella, Brayden, Tristan, Laynie, Scottlyn and Sarah. Other survivors include numerous other relatives, friends and trucking friends and two little dogs Julie and Cookie.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:00 am with Pastor Neil Kloppenborg officiating.
Burial will follow in the Farnam Cemetery, Farnam, NE.
