Jesup—Mrs. Lucy Effie Greenlee, 89, Wednesday at Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo of complications of age and a hip fracture; had been at the hospital since Apr. 22; born Aug. 26, 1856, at Muscatine, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Husted; married to William T. Greenlee of Belle Plaine Oct. 12, 1876, at Muscatine; lived at Belle Plaine until 1903, when they moved to Farnam, Neb.; husband died there in 1930; made her home for the last two years with her son, Frank E., who moved Mar. 1, 1946, to Jesup from Moorefield, Neb.; leaves another son, Glen, Sidney, Neb.; six grandsons, and 11 great grandchildren; three daughers also preceded her in death; funeral, 12 noon Friday at the O’Keefe & Towne funeral home at Waterloo; burial in Oak Hill cemetery at Belle Plaine.

Word has been received here that Mrs. Effie Greenlee died in a hospital at Waterloo, Ia., Wednesday, May 15 and burial was in Belle Plain, Ia., Friday, May 17. Mrs. Greenlee, whose home was in Farnam a good many years and prior to that on a farm south west of town moved to Waterloo with her son, Frank in March of this year.
