Chris Zysset Dies

Christian Zysset, who has been making his home for the past two years with his daughter, Mrs. John Titchen, died at the Titchen home Tuesday noon at the age of 79 years. While he has been in poor health for several years, it was only during the past week that he showed signs of failing.

The body was taken to Gothenburg by Chester Hugo soon after death to be prepared for burial.

Funeral services will be held at the Nazarene church by Rev. H. Anderson, but the exact time of the service has not been announced at this time.

CHRISTIAN ZYSSET OBITUARY


Christian Zysset, son of Jacob and Magdalene Zysset, was born October 17, 1862, at Thun, Baron county, Switzerland, and departed this life March 31, 1942, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 14 days.

When he was six years old he came to the United States with his parents and settled in Holt county, Missouri. Later he took a homestead close to Imperial, Nebraska, and a few years later came to Eustis where he worked for a number of years.

He was united in marriage on February 1, 1902, to Wilhelmina Pauline Laemle and to this union five sons and four daughters were born. His wife, two sons and two daughters preceded him in death, these children being Minna Magdalene, Paul Jacob, Martha Viola and John Adolph. The living children are Carl Christian of Farnam, Jess Edward of Eustis, Frank Daniel of Freedom, Mary Adeline of Oregon, Mo., and Maggie Elizabeth Titchen of Farnam. Also there are seven grandchildren.

He liked to attend church when it was possible for him to do so.

Funeral services were conducted at the Farnam Nazarene church Friday afternoon by Rev. H. Anderson, under the direction of Chester Hugo, and interment was in the Farnam cemetery.
