Obituary Collection
Dorothy Theresa (Meyer) Zysset

Frontier County resident, Dorothy Theresa Zysset, 68, died at her home southeast of Farnam on March 2, 1985.

She was born Nov. 27, 1917, at Bertrand, the daughter of Otto and Matilda (Rose) Meyer. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith at the age of two months and was confirmed in the Salem Lutheran Church south of Eustis as a little girl.

Jan. 23, 1938, she was married to Jess Zysset at the Salem Lutheran Church. Three children were born to this union, Eldon LeRoy, Dale Lee, and Janita La Rae.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Zysset of Farnam, Mr. And Mrs. Dale Zysset of Eustis, and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Earhart of Moorefield; 11 grandchildren; her brother, Reuben Meyer; three sisters, Elsie Debban, Alice Carroll and Elenora Withers, all of Lexington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Raymond Meyer, who was killed in World War II.

The Zyssets engaged in farming all of their married lives, most of it near Farnam.

Final rites were Tuesday morning at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Curtis with burial in the Farnam Cemetery. Pastor Walter Lemmermann officiated with Wetzels in charge of arrangements.
