Youree Baby Drowns In Water Tank

Mildred Evelyn Youree, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Youree was born at S[p]ringdale, Arkansas on February 5, 1924.

The Death Angel called the Darling baby from this world, August 18, 1925. Age 1 year, 6 months and 13 days.

She leaves to mourn her tragic death, her parents, one sister, Lois Frances, three brothers, Mordant, Barnard and Delbert, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Why God saw fit to deprive the loving parents of the presence of their darling babe, no one knows but comfort is found in the realization that the precious bud has been replanted to bloom again in the realms beyond our understanding.

Her paternal Grandmother, Molly Youree was waiting for the “life boat” on the other shore of “life’s great river,” to receive the little soul unto her, knowing all through Heaven’s knowledge.

Little Mildred’s death occurred Tuesday after she was washed and ready to go to a Sunday School Convention. The mother had let her out doors, thinking that she would be safe with the other children, but childlike curiosity must have prompted her actions, for she went to the tank, and in some unknown manner fell in. Although her brothers soon found her, hope was gone, for the little life thread had been fettered. Kind and loving hands worked over her, thinking perhaps that the precious life might be saved but the little Jewel had fled to the arms of her Redeemer.
