Obituary

Margaret Ferguson was born near Urbana in Benton County, Iowa, October 26, 1862, and departed this life at Lovell, Wyoming, January 12, 1946, at the advanced age of 83 years, two months and seventeen days. She was united in marraige to John F. Wyckoff in Benton County, Iowa, January 25, 1885. To this union was born two daughters–Mrs. F. A. Snyder of Lovell, Wyoming, Mrs. Marvin Smith of Fort Collins, Coloraddo, and five sons, Morris of Farnam, Willis and Howard of Lovell, and Clarence and James, who with their father preceded her in death. She also leaves to mourn her passing nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

With her husband and family she came to Farnam in 1906, where she made her home until the death of her husband in 1923, then she moved to Lovell, Wyoming to live near her daughter, Mrs. Snyder and son Howard, being joined there later by another son, Willis, all of whom were with her when she passed away.

She became a member of the Methodist Church at Farnam shortly after coming here. Until her advanced age made it impossible for her to do so, she was frequently called upon to help out in nursing the sick and injured. She was in excellent health for a person of such advanced age and had enjoyed a three week’s visit here in November.

The body was brought here for burial beside her husband in Farnam cemetery, following services from the Olesen Funeral Home to the Farnam Methodist church on Thursday. Rev. E. Fern McCaig officiated the service.
