John Wrin Buried Here
John J. Wrin, son of Patrick and Bridget Wrin, was born September 17, 1876, in Rouseville, Penn., and passed away December 6, 1953, at Hastings, Nebr., at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 19 days.
He was united in marriage to Grace McNickle January 1, 1900. She preceded him in death August 25, 1902. To this union were born two children, Maude Jones of Dade City, Florida, and Wm. Wrin of Fairhaven, New Jersey. He also leaves five grandchildren, one great grandchild, an only brother, Will Wrin of Minden, neice Mary at home and John in the service.
In 1911 he was united in marriage to Maude Combs of Geneva, who passed away August 25, 1922.
He graduated from the University of Nebraska with the high honor of PBK, completing the four year course in three. After teaching school in Red Cloud he took up farming near Denver and later near Farnam.
The past 20 years he has been engaged in real estate in Detroit, Mich. and Dade City, Florida.
He entered the hospital in Hastings in September and remained there until his death.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Farnam Tues. December 8 with Rev. B. H. Hart officiating. Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.
