Obituary Collection
Frankie (Armitage) Workman

Frankie (Armitage) Workman was born in Robert and Lola (Murphy) Armitage on September 3, 1894 at Harrison, Arkansas.

She was married to Winnie Workman, near Stockville on March 3, 191[8]. A son, Richard and a daughter, Merle were born to this family.

While still a small child she moved with her family to Frontier County, Nebraska and lived in the Orafino-Stockville area most of her life. She moved to Eustis in the fall of 1954 and lived there until she moved to the Slack Nursing Home at Gothenburg, about one year ago. She attended church regularly and participated in various church and club activities as long as her health permitted. She was a fifty year member of the Methodist Church.

Her parents, husband, son, one sister, and two brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Willard Palm, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren of South Hamilton, Massachusetts; two brothers, Joe Armitage of Ault, Colorado, and Stewart Armitage of Orafino, Idaho; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Miller of Ponchatoula, Louisana; nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Funeral services were held at the McVay Memorial Chapel at Gothenburg, on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Leonard Clark of the United Methodist Church officiating. Mrs. Hiddie Kuhlman and Mr. Marshall Rishel both of Gothenburg provided music for the service. Casket bearers were William Buss, Clifford Beza, Edward Preitauer, E.J. Pavel, Dean Weissert, and Ray Kugler.

The final resting place is in the Farnam Cemetery.

"Aunt Frankie" as she was fondly known, will be missed by many.
