Elaine Widick Williams, 79, died Jan. 24, 1997, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 14, 1917, at Smithfield to Grover Cleveland Widick and Myrtle Rose Clayton Widick and was a 1934 graduate of Farnam High School.

She married Wayne Williams on May 27, 1941, at North Platte. She spent her entire married life in Farnam except for five years immediately following her marriage when she and her husband lived in Los Angeles, Calif.

Mrs. Williams was active in Farnam community activities throughout her life and was active in the Farnam United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of Farnam; two sons, Ronald (Cille) of Denver, Colo. and Rick (Pam) of Lincoln; three brothers, Ellis (Lois) Widick, M. C. "Bill" Widick and Orvale (Barb) Widick all of Farnam; six grandchildren, Adam, Lia, and Dana Williams and Elizabeth, Andrew and Chase Robinson.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother Merle.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Schutt officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.

Visitation will be today and Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m.

A memorial has been established to the Farnam Senior Center.

Blase Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg is in charge of arrangements.
