Evan Harold Wach

FARNAM - Evan Harold Wach, 19, of Farnam, died Feb. 5, 2006, in an automobile accident near Overton.

He was born July 15, 1986, to Gary and Ricky Sue Barnes Wach at Osage, Iowa. He graduated from Eustis-Farnam High School in 2005, where he participated in cross country, football, basketball, track, art, music, and Future Farmers of America.

He was a member of the United Methodist church in Farnam. In 2004, he represented Eustis-Farnam in agronomy at the State and National FFA contests. In 2005, he was district FFA weld-ng champion and received his state FFA degree. Evan was a freshman at Southeast Community College, Milford Campus studying farm diesel mechanics. He spent weekends working on the family vineyard. He liked hunting, fishing, and boating with family and friends. He also enjoyed overhauling and working on his car.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Ricky Sue Wach of Farnam; two sisters, Shawnna (Phil) Silvius of Nebraska City and Linsay Wach of Farnam; a nephew, Sheridan Silvius of Nebraska City; a niece, Alison Silvius of Nebraska City; very special friend, Jayle Jensen of Gothenburg; and numerous relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Anna Mae Wach, and Kenneth and Elizabeth (Betty) Barnes.

Memorials may be given in his name.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Farnam Gymnasium in Farnam with the Rev. Tess Hufford officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today with private family visitation from 8 to 9 p.m. at Blase Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.
