Services Held For John Titchen
John Titchen passed away Saturday. His health had been poorly since a auto accident in 1960. John lived in the Farnam Community many years before moving to North Platte.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Farnam Nazarene Church, Rev. Donald Green officiated. Burial in the Farnam cemetery.
Obituary
John Henry Titchen, son of John and Phoebe Titchen was born August 16, 1901 near Willow Island, Nebraska and passed away suddenly at his home in North Platte, Nebraska on November 10, 1962, at the age of 61 years, 2 months and 24 days.
John was united in marriage to Esther Starr on February 12, 1922 at Broadwater, Nebraska. To this union were born six children, three of whom died in infancy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and his first wife, Esther in 1933.
His second wife, Maggie Zysset, who he married in 1935, died as a result of an auto accident in 1960. The same accident also claimed the life of a daughter and one grandson.
He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, John J. and Mervin W. Titchen of North Platte, six grandchildren also of North Platte, and many relatives and friends.
