Obituary
Martha Gayle Dawson Tibbetts, daughter of the late John W. Dawson and Mrs. Ida Dawson was born Dec. 18, 1895 at Farnam, Nebraska, grew to womanhood at this place graduated from Farnam high school in 1912, and Gothenburg 12th grade 1913. In 1928 she received her B. A. degree from Wesleyan University, Lincoln. In 1933 she received her Masters Degree from Drew Theological Seminary, Madison, New Jersey.
She gave her heart to God early in her youth, became supply minister of Newark Conference. A missionary to India, stationed at Gomoh, India, where she worked untirely, returned to America 1940. Was married to Rev. Charles C. Tibbetts June 1941. Rev. Tibbetts is pastor of Methodist church, Spring Valley, New York.
She has rendered much effective service throughout her life to all who knew her, every ready with a helping hand for all.
She leaves to mourn her loss, Mrs. John Dawson of Gothenburg, two brothers, Merle of Pomona, Calif., and Glenn of Santa Ana, Calif., an only sister Mrs. Lester Harris of Omaha, besides a lot of friends in America and India.
Burial in the East.
