R. O. Thrasher Dies; Rites Set
Robert (Bob) O. Thrasher, 74, 2721 Central ave., died at a local hospital Tuesday morning.
Survivors include his wife Neva; one daughter, Mrs. Gene Wiester of Kearney; two grandsons, Boyd C. and Robert Charles; and one sister, Mrs. Velma Blackwood of Denver, Colo.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Charles, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Richard Miles, Sr., officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.
The family plans memorials to the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Mr. Thrasher had been a Kearney resident for 34 years and recently retired from his business. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and the Kearney Elks Lodge.
Anderson-Johnson-Horner Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
