Neva I. Thrasher, 82, died Saturday evening at Mount Carmel Home where she had lived since 1976.

Mrs. Thrasher was born in Norfolk and lived in Kearney for 50 years. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, BPO Does and VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include two grandsons, Boyd Prather, stationed in Germany with the Army, and Robert Prather of Kearney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Thrasher, in 1971; a son, Robert C. Thrasher, in 1933; and a daughter Jean Wiester, in June.

Vigil service will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Horner-Lieske Mortuary. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The Rev. Charles Peek will officiate. Burial will be in Farnam Cemetery at Farnam.

Memorial are planned to the church.
