Ida B. (Owen) Thompson

Mrs. J. W. Thompson, who had been very poorly for several months passed away at her home here in Farnam Thursday evening.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. C. R. Tanner. Interment was made in the Farnam Cemetery.

The high esteem in which Mrs. Thompson was held by friends and loved ones was evidenced by the many beautiful flowers which adorned the casket.

Ida B. Owen was born February 27th, 1857 at Indianapolis, Ind., passed away at her home in Farnam Aug. 4th, 1932. Aged 75 years, 5 months, 8 days.

Her family moved to Amo, Ind., then to Onargo, Ill., where she lived until married to J. W. Thompson on February 29, 1888 at Gothenburg, Nebraska.

They made their home on the farm northwest of Farnam until 1906 when they moved to Farnam where they have since lived. She was raised a member of the Friends church and changed her letter to the Methodist church since living here.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, J. W. Thompson and three children, Owen and Maude of Farnam and Mrs. Gilbert Hicks of South Gate, Calif., and three grand children, besides a host of friends.
