Clyde Eldon Thompson
Clyde Eldon Thompson, 85, retired Farnam pharmacist, died April 17, 1992, at the veterans' hospital in Grand Island.
Born Oct. 10, 1906, in Frontier County to Clyde and Christina (Messersmith) Thompson, he graduated from Farnam High School. He worked as a pharmacist during World War II, returning to Farnam where he worked from 1945 until his retirement in 1982.
Mr. Thompson attended the United Methodist Church and was a member of the Farnam Lions Club and VFW Post.
He had been a resident of the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island since 1984.
Survivors include cousins with a brother preceding him in death.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Leypoldt officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Farnam Senior Center.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, 5-9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.
McVay Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg is in charge of arrangements.
